Larry graduated from Heald Business College with a degree in Accounting. Larry’s career included financial planning and accounting for several professional baseball players. Larry currently works as a firefighter for the city of San Francisco. Larry has been fighting fires and helping people in emergency situations for over 10 years. His desire to help people carries into his passion for coaching kids.

Larry joined the California Ballaz organization bringing over 8 years of experience in coaching various youth basketball teams. Larry has had experience in the sport of basketball as both a player and a coach. Larry started coaching basketball in 1998 for the Catholic Youth Organization in the Oakland Diocese.

To Larry, basketball is about teaching life’s lessons which can include work ethic, conflict resolution, friendships and family. Larry believes that teamwork is the key to all aspects on the court and if playing as a united force you can accomplish anything. Larry’s defensive philosophy is that tenacious defense wins championships.
